Be dedicated, Musa tells civil service

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman called for continuous commitment and dedication from the Federal and State civil services so that the government policies and development programmes can be implemented successfully.
"We acknowledge that the success of the implementation of policies and development programmes depend much on the creativity and innovative of the civil service in providing quality delivery system," he said.
Speaking at the State Banquet in conjunction with the opening of the 13th State Legislative Assembly second term sittings here Thursday, he registered his gratitude to the public service for their excellent service in assisting the State Government to effectively realise its development programmes.
At the same time, he hoped the smart partnership between the public and private sector to remain at a good level so that the economic and social development of the State could be done proactively and holistically.
"I believe such good cooperation will be able to boost the confidence of foreign and local investors on the prospect and State's economic fundamental in competing at the domestic and global level," Musa, who is also Finance Minister said.
Musa, who is also Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman, urged all the State assemblymen to make full use of the assembly sittings by involving themselves actively not only in the debate but more importantly represent the voices of the grassroots.
"This is to ensure that the quality of debate in the sittings reflect our commitment and sincerity to prioritise the people and development in our respective constituencies," he said.
